Product: Ceramic Brake Pads for SRAM Guide Brakes

Brand: Hold Fast Cycling

Details: Our SRAM Guide Brake Pads come in two awe inspiring compounds, Ceramic and Metallic. These are a direct replacement for several of SRAM’s 4 piston brakes. See the list below for a complete list of compatible brakes.

Features:

  • COMPATIBLE WITH GUIDE & G2 MODELS – These brake pads are crafted to fit SRAM Guide R brake pads, SRAM RS, RSC, T, SRAM G2 brake pads, RSC, Guide G2, Ultimates, and XO Trail brakes. They are not compatible with Codes, Guide RE, or DB8 brakes, ensuring a precise fit for dependable stopping power on supported models. Ideal for riders seeking reliable 4 piston brake pads, mountain bike brake pads, or bike disc brake pads for specific Guide and G2 systems.
  • SOFTER COMPOUND FOR INSTANT BRAKING – Crafted with a softer compound, these bike brake pads deliver a strong initial bite, giving you quick and controlled stops with minimal effort. Ideal for riders needing a direct replacement for SRAM brake pads, these bike brakes pads provide a smooth, controlled feel for every stop.
  • QUIET AND SMOOTH PERFORMANCE – Designed for a quiet ride, our piston disc brake pads eliminate the common squeal associated with metallic pads, giving you a silent, enjoyable experience. Perfect for riders who prefer peaceful trails, these bicycle brake pads help you focus on the ride without any noisy distractions.
  • EASY AND FAST TO “BED IN” – These bike brakes are quick to bed in, reaching optimal braking power faster than many alternatives. With minimal break-in required, these mountain bike brake pads are an excellent bike brake pads replacement, offering a strong initial bite and dependable stopping power from the very start.
  • REDUCED BRAKE FADE FOR RELIABLE STOPPING – Made to resist brake fade, these bike brake pads offer consistent braking on long, intense rides, especially on downhill routes. While not as long-lasting as metallic options, they outperform resin pads in durability and provide a dependable choice for regular riders in need of high-performance bike disc brake pads. Packaging may vary.

Compatibility List: The SRAM Guide Brake Pads fit the following brakes: SRAM Guide R, RS, RSC, T, G2 RSC, Guide G2, Ultimates, XO Trail. Does not fit Codes, Guide RE DB8.

Ceramic Pads:

  • Softer compound provides better initial bite than metallic.
  • Quiet, no really, they are very quiet.
  • Easy and quick to “bed in.”
  • Less brake fade than resin pads.
  • Not as strong in wet and sloppy conditions, but still provide great initial bite.
  • May not last as long as metallic, but lasts way longer than resin.

Metallic Pads (aka Sintered):

  • Harder compound lacks initial bite, but provides max stopping power under heavy load.
  • Long lasting.
  • Take a longer time to “bed in.”
  • Can be noisy if it’s wet.
  • Good heat transfer and better on long downhills.
  • Good for cold weather, mud and wet conditions.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match your pads either. I often run metallic up front and ceramic in the rear. If you have a lot of long hills your area, we suggest reaching for the Metallic compound. If you braking is quick or you’re in a relatively flat area, we suggest the Ceramic.
