Product: Metallic Brake Pads for SRAM Guide Brakes

Brand: Hold Fast Cycling

Details: Our SRAM Guide Brake Pads come in two awe inspiring compounds, Ceramic and Metallic. These are a direct replacement for several of SRAM’s 4 piston brakes. See the list below for a complete list of compatible brakes.

Features:

  • COMPATIBLE WITH GUIDE & G2 MODELS – These brake pads are crafted to fit SRAM Guide R brake pads, SRAM RS, RSC, T, SRAM G2 brake pads, RSC, Guide G2, Ultimates, and XO Trail brakes. They are not compatible with Codes, Guide RE, or DB8 brakes, ensuring a precise fit for dependable stopping power on supported models. Ideal for riders seeking reliable 4 piston brake pads, mountain bike brake pads, or bike disc brake pads for specific Guide and G2 systems.
  • HARDER COMPOUND FOR MAXIMUM STOPPING POWER – Built with a tougher compound, these 4 piston brake pads may take a bit longer to “bed in” and initially provide a softer bite, but they deliver powerful, reliable stopping force under heavy loads. Ideal for riders needing a direct replacement for SRAM brake pads, these bike brakes offer strong control and dependable performance on challenging trails and intense rides.
  • OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE IN TOUGH CONDITIONS – Our 4 piston brake pads are built to manage heat effectively on long descents and rough terrains, making them perfect for extended downhill rides. They excel in challenging conditions, such as wet, muddy, or cold weather, providing dependable braking where other bicycle brake pads may fall short.
  • LONG-LASTING DURABILITY – Engineered for high-pressure braking, these bike brake pads are made to withstand intense use, reducing the need for frequent replacements. They’re a cost-effective choice for riders who need durable sram brakes that stand up to rugged conditions, ensuring reliable performance on every ride.
  • HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE TO REDUCE FADE – Created to handle high temperatures, these sintered brake pads resist brake fade, providing steady, smooth braking. With reliable performance, these bike brake pads ensure consistent stopping power, making them an excellent choice for riders needing durable bicycle disc brake pads on extreme trails. Packaging may vary.

Compatibility List: The SRAM Guide Brake Pads fit the following brakes: SRAM Guide R, RS, RSC, T, G2 RSC, Guide G2, Ultimates, XO Trail. Does not fit Codes, Guide RE DB8.

Ceramic Pads:

  • Softer compound provides better initial bite than metallic.
  • Quiet, no really, they are very quiet.
  • Easy and quick to “bed in.”
  • Less brake fade than resin pads.
  • Not as strong in wet and sloppy conditions, but still provide great initial bite.
  • May not last as long as metallic, but lasts way longer than resin.

Metallic Pads (aka Sintered):

  • Harder compound lacks initial bite, but provides max stopping power under heavy load.
  • Long lasting.
  • Take a longer time to “bed in.”
  • Can be noisy if it’s wet.
  • Good heat transfer and better on long downhills.
  • Good for cold weather, mud and wet conditions.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match your pads either. I often run metallic up front and ceramic in the rear. If you have a lot of long hills your area, we suggest reaching for the Metallic compound. If you braking is quick or you’re in a relatively flat area, we suggest the Ceramic.
